Cybex Arc Trainers

The Arc Trainer combines three exercise machines. With a low pedal incline, the Arc Trainer simulates gliding like a ski trainer, with a medium pedal incline it simulates stepping like an elliptical trainer, with a high pedal incline it simulates stepping on a stepper. The trainers are designed to engage the leg and glute muscles as much as possible, while eliminating stress on the knee joints and spine. The pressure on the knees on the Arc Trainer is the same as when walking.

Cybex 625AT Arc Trainer, not all cross trainers are created equal. With the Cybex 625AT Arc Trainer you get more results in less time. Research shows that the Cybex Arc Trainer burns more calories than any other cross trainer or elliptical cross trainer tested. The science behind the Arc Trainer’s big calorie burn is the Arc motion. It engages the right muscles – quads and glutes – that demand lots of energy from the body when they are called upon to work. That means big calorie burn. And ... because the Arc is demanding of the muscles – not the joints, it can be used longer without putting a strain on the knees, hip or back. Train for strength, power, endurance, cardio, and weight loss. The Cybex Arc Trainer offers broad incline and resistance ranges which mean it is really 3 machines in one. At the lower incline levels, the “glide” is a cross country skier. In the mid-range levels, the motion is a “stride” (like an elliptical except with proper positioning). At the high levels, the “climb” of a stepper or climber. Glide, Stride, and Climb. And ... lots of programs also make the Arc Trainer fun to use. And no more “elliptical knees”. Unlike other cross trainers on the market the patented Arc pattern of motion allows the hip and knee to move synchronously while the foot stays under the knee reducing joint pains and providing a more comfortable workout.

Cybex 610a Arc Trainer, the Cybex 610a Arc Trainer combines elements of a climber, cross-trainer and cross-country skier, and, like other Cybex arc trainers, it’s designed to give the least amount of stress on joints while maintaining the highest level of performance. This machine offers all of the award winning features of the 600A Arc Trainer, but adds arm handles conveniently designed with grips that enable you to put emphasis on either upper or lower body muscles. This is the patented Same Side Forward (SSF) configuration, which allows you to maintain correct posture at any degree of ramp incline. The high intensity user can lean forward without placing excess stress on the back. The reciprocal movement of the footplates allows for an accurate foot path in a natural (arc) motion, creating a relaxed feel. Four-bar linkage input arms keep the footplates at a constant angle with the floor – thereby reducing stress on the foot and ankle. Also similar to the 600A, the Total Body 610A offers extreme durability and can take whatever you dish out. The 610A’s movable arms create a curvilinear path that minimizes shoulder/elbow deviation and stress. The sturdy 610A also comes with front-mounted wheels to make the Arc Trainer more portable to preferred positions in your home and gym.
